Oyster Laborer
Died: Bivalve, Mouth of Maurice River
Accidental Drowning, Oyster sloop turned over 100 yards from shore after blast of wind. He removed his shoes and pants and started swimming in. He was 30 feet from shore when he disappeared. From Bivalve, Maryland. Age 37. It is thought he had heart failure, no water in lungs. Left a wife and four children. His brother Lee Anderson and Claude Messick survived. Body returned to Maryland.
