Brick loved the water and after his dad passed away he sold the farm and moved to Port Norris. He worked for John DuBois. Brick was doing repairs on a boat with another man when he couldn't see. His friend called the doctor, but the doctor wouldn't come because a Black man was calling. He died of a cerebral hemorrhage.
